Our U16 football team kept their McKee Cup campaign alive on Friday in a gripping fixture against Fivemiletown College.
The game finished 0-0, however both sides battled hard to try to win the game.
The first have was a cagey affair with few chances falling to either team. Fivemiletown dominated possession, but were finding our defence hard to breakdown.
Our boys dominated large periods of the second half, but failed to find the net, despite coming close on a number of occasions.
Our back four, Ryan Sharpe, Lee McCutcheon, Jamie Morrow and Peter Armstrong were outstanding and they made life difficult for the Fivemiletown attack all day.
Sam McDonald dominated most of the aerial battle and Jack Foster worked tirelessly in the midfield.
Joel Irvine came closest to opening the scoring with his volley finding the side netting.
This was an excellent team performance and it was difficult to call a ‘Man of the Match’ today. However Jamie Morrow put in a brilliant Captain’s performance and deserved the MOTM award.

The Shoe Box Appeal focuses on providing relief to children in third world countries who don’t have the luxuries we have in our daily lives. In 2015 the Shoe Box Appeal was able to gather and distribute 116,576 shoeboxes. This is approximately 10% more than 2014.
Help us this year by donating to this charitable cause, anything is appreciated; money or items. Our goal is to wrap and fill 75 Shoe boxes in total, in order to give the less fortunate a heartfelt gift; and most importantly “Give hope to someone in need this Christmas”!
