Family Engineering day at the College

Thursday January 5, 2012

The College held a very enjoyable and successful Sentinus Engineering UK Family STEM day

Sixty Year 7 and 8 students and their parents or grandparents attended for a very active, hands on morning of activities. It was apparent that the adults enjoyed it as much as the children, if not more. A request for an adult only Sentinus day is under consideration ;)

The day included bridge building – a challenge to see which team could build the strongest paper bridge and the K’NEX challenge where teams designed and built an amazing range of working models. Teams were able to build a paper bridge which held the weight of 13 bricks.

Our thanks to Gerard and Pat from Sentinus for a very enjoyable day of educational and fun activites.
